Seeds of Sovereignty: Indigenous Seeds, a Bio-heritage to Preserve
In the face of ongoing threats to Palestinian agriculture, Dalia Association is making significant strides in protecting and promoting indigenous seed varieties essential to Palestine’s food sovereignty. Recently, Dalia hosted "Indigenous Seeds Germination" an event held at the Zuwwadeh Cooperative for Home Production in Nablus. Led by Saneiyeh Shqair, the workshop introduced natural, chemical-free planting methods using essential materials like compost and peat moss and covered every stage of the planting process.
Women Supporting Women Bazaar
Dalia Association, in collaboration with the Women’s Studies Center, organized a charity bazaar to support and empower women entrepreneurs with micro-projects. The event took place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the A. M. Qattan Foundation Cultural Center in Ramallah.
The bazaar featured the participation of forty women showcasing diverse projects. Their products included various traditional Palestinian crafts, such as embroidery, leatherwork, soap making, ceramics, wooden crafts, straw products, sculptures, food products, and other traditional handmade items.
